New York, New York

25 Jan

Coming back from New York was bitter-sweet. While I definitely miss all of the great food (available to you 24/7), there is nothing better than coming home and sleeping in your own bed. Not to mention it was starting to get really cold up there and I forgot to pack my ear muffs!

Our trip was amazing. Alex and I basically walked the streets of Manhattan all day, touring through different neighborhoods and exploring quaint little restaurants and bars. We are actually embarrassed to say that we did not go to any of the touristy attractions that one might consider to be the “must see’s” of NYC (like going to the Met, Ellis Island, or the Statue of Liberty). Although, to our defense, some of that stuff was closed at the time. We did take a nice long walk through Central Park and stopped to listen to music at the Bethesda Terrace, where the Gossip Girl series finale was filmed. I feel like that should be in the tour guides somewhere…AND we also did go shopping on Fifth Ave (Tiffany’s = my mothership).

New look, more stuff!

10 Nov

I am so excited to introduce a new look to my blog!  I have also added a direct link to my Foodspotting page, which features pictures of what we’ve eaten and where you can find it.  If you have not yet heard of Foodspotting, you must check it out.  It is a great Web site slash mobile app that provides users with a visual guide to good food.  Instead of just reading a restaurant review, you can go to the site and view images of food that real customers have eaten and loved.  You can also search by food type.  For example, enter “chicken wings” in the search box and view a photo album of wing shots in your area.  See one you like? Click on the image and find out where you can go to get it.

I will also be creating a page of “Things I like” which will include some reviews of new products I have tested and approved.  Be sure to check this page daily and look out for giveaway items!

I’ve also added new social media links so you can easily post to Pinterest and Facebook!

With so many new and exciting additions to my blog, you don’t want to miss a beat.  Subscribe to Chewme! by clicking the follow button of the bottom right of the page and sign up for email alerts.  After signing up, you will receive an email requesting confirmation of your subscription.  Be sure to hit confirm or else you won’t receive the updates!
