Ultimate Steak Blend GIVEAWAY!!

7 Nov

Last weekend, Alex and I went on a little Philadelphia food tour. We ate pizzas, cheese steaks, Chinese food and so much more. While I still have to compile a recap post of our Philly excursion, I couldn’t wait to announce this new giveaway! Chew Me Blog is so excited to work in conjunction with the Kitchen Stories Etsy shop to give away a very special collection of spices. All of the spice and tea blends available through Kitchen Stories Etsy shop are wild grown and do not contain preservatives or other non-natural ingredients.

The spice kit we are giving away contains the following blends:

Ultimate Steak
This blend is so hard to live without! Drizzle steaks with olive oil, sprinkle with Ultimate Steak then sear 5 minutes one side 5 minutes the other side then let it rest for another 5. Use in ground beef for burgers or even oven roasted potatoes!

Ultimate Chicken
Help make that bird sing! This seasoning is perfect for the grill. The flavors will make your chicken or pork dishes truly stand out.

Blackened Spice
Black pepper, basil, cumin, onion, paprika, garlic, oregano and salt are all ground down to form this aromatic and intensely deep spice blend. Perfect for salmon, chicken and steaks!

Lemon Pepper
Light and simple, super delicious on Halibut, salmon, chicken, pork and even lamb.

Spicy Southwestern
Give that grilling meat of yours a real zip with this blend! Sprinkle on chicken wings and drummettes for game day. Grilled Chicken breasts are made to perfection and balance out that spice with a simple side salad of field green with a blue cheese or ranch dressing.

Blends come in 5 – 2oz food grade tins that are two (2) inches wide. Actual product weight will vary. The spice blend containers are light proof. This will protect and preserve your herb blends longer than typical clear plastic and plastic top containers.

I had the opportunity to test out the Ultimate Steak Blend and thought it was awesome. It certainly rivals McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning, providing a perfect combination of salt, black pepper, garlic, coriander seed, mustard seed, dill seed, and red pepper. We used the spice blend on our ribeye steaks but you could also use it to season burgers or grilled veggies.

We topped our steak on a nice “healthy” salad with red wine vinaigrette (ignore the croutons). It was delish! Especially with perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs.

After trying (and loving) the Kitchen Stories’ Ultimate Steak Blend, I can’t wait to try more of their spice collections!

Where are the fries on that salad?

I plan to try the steak blend on a slow smoked brisket for KCBS competition practice.

The blackened spiced is headed for some grilled steelhead.

    That is, if I win…

The steak looks amazing, but I am looking for a way to liven up my chicken. I will definitely be using the Spicy Southwestern and Ultimate Chicken on my grilled chicken breasts. Sounds great!
