The seasoned traveler

Even a seasoned traveler has to admit that 20 hours on an airplane is just brutal. If someone tells you otherwise, they are lying. I don’t think that even the first class travelers enjoy the flight. At first, you think you will be fine. You make yourself comfy in your little 17×17 space. Turn on your personal inflight television and find some good movies. You say that you will take a nice long nap, and that might very well be true. But then after 2 movies and a 5 hour nap when you realize that you still have over half of the trip ahead of you, you start going crazy. But I guess it’s all worth it when you finally feel the plane land and the flight attendant informs you that you have reached your final destination. There is a sense of both extreme fatigue and excitement as you walk through the airport, eagerly waiting to breathe in some fresh air.

Well folks, we made it! Sawasdee, we are in Bangkok!

First inflight meal: Chicken bulgogi (Korean dish) with broccoli, fried rice and a creamy sweet potato salad.

Second inflight meal: Beef bibimbap (another Korean dish) with assorted vegetables and rice.

Layover meal: Beef soup with rice and assorted side salads.
