Our greatest fear

17 Nov

As you may have ascertained from the contents of our blog, Alex and I love food. Therefore, we have an irrational fear of starvation. Being trapped on a deserted island without food (or without the ability to build a fire to cook food) would probably be our worst living nightmare. Our second worst living nightmare? Being trapped on a plane for 12 hours with inedible mush that some airlines try to pass as “chicken and dumplings”. So, being the wise travelers that we are, we embarked on our long journey to Thailand prepared.

We made sure to pack lots of yummy snacks to eat on the plane including: rice, beef jerky, peanuts, wasabi peas, cheese crackers and peanut brittle. And as if that wasn’t enough, we wanted to be sure to board our long connecting flight to Korea on a full stomach. We stopped at the airport’s Max and Erma’s restaurant for our last American meal. Nothing says “bring it on, Delta airlines” like a buffalo chicken sandwich, cheeseburger and fries.

Seoul, Korea here we come!
